Hola me he conseguido un scanner Mag innovision modelo DTS-3060 ya me he bajado el driver para windows XP de la pagina de www.driverguide.com

Para usarlo me meto al asistente de scaner que tiene el microsoft y si me detecta el scanner y al momento que le pongo digitalizar ( scannear) me sale lo siguiente :



Presiona la ultima opcion y me sale lo siguiente:

Changing the BIOS settings for your Parallel Port.

[NOTE]
The following steps may only be needed if your scanner isn't working properly. It
describes how to set your BIOS settings for your Parallel Port to EPP/ECP, or EPP
mode.

For your scanner to function properly, the Parallel port (printer port) must be set
to EPP/ECP, or EPP mode. If your BIOS setting doesn't have this option, please set
ECP, or Bi -directional mode.

To set your parallel port to EPP/ECP,EPP,or ECP mode, you must enter your BIOS settings.
The best way to learn how to do this is to refer to the manual that came with your
computer.

As there are a number of different BIOS setup programs, the process may be slightly
different from computer to computer. A common BIOS utility is AWARD . For the following
example, we'll follow ihe instructions for AWARD BIOS. BIOS settings utilities are
fairly similar, if you have a different BIOS utility than the one we've described,
following these instructions may get you the desired result.

To set your parallel port to one of these modes:

[STEP 1]
Restart your computer while preparing to tap the delete key.

As soon as the first screen come up (it will detail your BIOS version and count through
your RAM), tap the delete key to enter your BIOS settings. On that screen there will
be a note that says: Press Delete to Enter Setup, or something similar. If the note
says: If you
want to enter setup, Press F2. Then press F2 instead.

[STEP 2]
In the BIOS setup, locate your Parallel Port Mode(Also called LPT Mode, or LPT Enhanced
Mode).

In AWARD BIOS, go to the CHIPSET FEATURES SETUP menu using your arrow keys. Press
Enter. Now look for Parallel Port Mode. Other BIOS programs will have another name
for the menu that allows you to change your Parallel port mode. Move through the
settings looking for Parallel Port or LPT Port.

[STEP 3]
Change the setting to EPP/ECP or EPP.

Using AWARD BIOS, use the <Page Up>, and <Page Down> keys to select the Mode you want
(EPP/ECP or EPP). Look for the description of the maneuvering keys on your screen.

[STEP 4]
Save and Quit BIOS Settings.

In AWARD BIOS press F10 to save and exit BIOS. The commands for Saving and Exiting
your BIOS program should be displayed on your screen. If you choose not to save, then
simply select the Exit command.

The computer will now boot up automatically and your parallel port will be ready to
work with your scanner.

Por lo que entiendo es algo del BIOS mi bios es :



Entro y lo que veo en una de las partes del bios es lo sigueinte hacerca del puerto paralelo :
